The first interview turned out to be a basic statistics and programming quiz. Unmotivated and sleep-deprived from my thesis I felt like I bombed it, but they still gave me a take home 2 week programming project. I hacked out in a Few hours it was something with FASTA and FASTQ files. Every one says these 2w programming tasks are bad, and I agree with them, but it was easy enough. After I sent it in they had some sort of miss communication and thought I had not returned it and requested it again. It was cleared up, but then they ghosted me.
