      Entrevista

Received an email from a recruiter to setup 2 phone interviews. One with a Senior Engineer and another with Engineering Manager of the department. Received the first phone call after 1hr of delay from the scheduled time. Seemed like he hasnt read my resume. I asked about my past exprience, which was an intern. Asked me 1 technical question, about how to calculate pathloss of a RF chamber. Asked me where I live, was I a masters or a bachelors student. Never recieved the second call , waited 2 hrs. Emailed the recruiter and got the phone interview scheduled for next week. The second phone interview asked about my past position as well. Asked to tell TRP procedure and TIS procedure for WiFi. Next day recieved an email from the recruiter for an in person interview in California. Flew to CA for a 3 day trip. On the interview day I found out that there are 11 interviewers scheduled for the day. Start from 9:30-3:30 (about 30 mins for each interviewer, and one 1hr interview with the hiring manager). The recruiter told in the beginning if at anytime it seems like you are not the best fit for the positon I will come in and end the interview process right away. The interviewers were all Engineers and Managers. I was in a room and every interviewer would come ask questions and leave followed by the next interviewer. All questions were very technical. Related to my previous jobs, RF and wireless communciation theory. Question varied from how AM radio work to Constellation diagrams and Modulation schemes. Lots of questions about wireless technologies GSM,GPRS,EDGE,AGPS,etc. The lunch interview was scheduled with the hiring manager for an hr. Seemed like he didnt had an idea of what my qualification or education is. Are you a masters or Bachelors student? had to explain that my last job was an intern job... where do you live? what books did you use in your communications course? some more irrelevant questions. After this interview another interviewer came in finished the interview and then the recruiter came in with the bad news. Saying one of the interviewer thinks that you are not the best candidate as you have a good technical knowledge but not enough experience and at this time the team cannot afford to train you. This was a disappointing moment. Overall it was a learning experience with some disappointment.

      Entrevista

I applied for this position online and got an email from their HR to schedule to 2 back to back 30 minutes technical interview for the proceeding week, it was scheduled promptly then. The interviewers were specifically looking for my interest and what i liked more in my current job. It was nice and quick , but the proceeding week they selected a candidate , and rejected me without any good reason as I was very positive with my performance in the telephonic session.
