I was the eager beaver trying to get the sales job. I asked to speak with the hiring manager, spoke with him on the phone, and asked if they were hiring. The guy was very nice and said they were looking to fill a position. He asked me some basic screening/interest questions, asked me to come in to talk, and I did about a week later. It was simple questioning about my use of apple products. I was happy-go-lucky in my demeanor and had a bunch of Apple gear (iPhone, Macbook, used a Pro for work, AppleCare, MobileMe), so I got through to the second interview a week later. That went okay (it was with an assistant manager and the lead Tech supervisor), but it was soon apparent in the interview that they were looking for someone with certain special experience in software (maybe a "Creative"? or Demo person?) that I didn't have. So, the weekend passed and I got an email on Tuesday saying they gave the job to someone else. The end.
