      Nice and easy phone interview scheduled less than a week after an online application. An email was sent to confirm details for the in-person interview (2 hours long with three people, all named in the email). At the actual interview, my first interviewer was late by maybe 5-10mins which isn’t a big deal but it set the pace for the rest of the interview.( It seemed like all the interviewers had set questions they HAD to ask so since we were behind schedule, instead of cutting out questions it felt like I was rushed or cut off depending on the question or my answer.) First there is a tour which is cool but kind of pointless, especially if you start late. A better strategy maybe would be to do the interview last so the managers can decide if they even want to give a tour based on timing/ if they like you. The first interviewer transcribed the interview herself so there wasn’t really eye contact. Then you sit with someone from the department who would be a peer and that was interesting too. I felt like all the Information I got from that part was from the questions I specifically asked (she didn’t tell me/explain much without prompting). Then the last part of the interview is with two people at the same time, one asking while the other transcribes, switching throughout. Though the email had said who I would be interviewing with, one of those people was not from the email (the other person must not have been able to make it so he was stepping in I assume). Halfway through the interview we had to switch rooms because.. another meeting was coming in? They didn’t manage to book a room for my interview? Not sure. One of those guys was really nice; meanwhile, the other one would interrupt me, tell me my answers were wrong (answers based on my own experiences...), at one point said “you’re not getting out of it that easily” when I gave a briefer answer in an area I was unfamiliar with. I don’t know if it was an intentional good cop bad cop routine but even though I felt confident when I started by the end I just wanted it to be over. The interview ran 30 minutes over at which point they were just rapidly firing questions; it felt unnecessary because I knew I wasn’t getting the job at that point. I definitely didn’t interview well, especially in the last portion but I also feel a lot of that was a response to all of the above. Quite an unnerving experience.

      Two words: EVAN BARNARD!!! I give him 1000 golden stars ⭐️. He’s the most sincere, top tier, honest, genuine, caring RECRUITER you will ever meet!!!! As you know, it is NOT easy finding a great job and it also can become frustrating, difficult and overwhelming. Evan not only was gentle spirit but a high vibrational personality that made you feel so confident and happy! He not only followed up with me constantly but he followed through. YOU DO NOT SEE THIS IN TODAYS SOCIETY! You really have to love what you do in order to be the best for other people. Evan is the epitome of grace and sensitivity. He relates and educates about the job description and breaks them down to a science. Not only did he change my way of thinking during hiring processes but he also gave me a new outlook on life. Even though I didn’t get the job I applied for he encouraged me to keep going and to never give up for what I wanted and deserved. I’m forever thankful for the opportunity to chat with Evan. Whenever I have other interviews now I take Evan’s advice with me. Everyone is not honest and thorough but I’m so glad God introduced me to Evan. I didn’t get that job, but I did gain an angel on earth. He doesn’t know it but he saved my life that day!!! Life can be so hard and just to hear someone speaking joy and positivity into your existence means everything that money or a job can’t buy. Evan thank you! 🙏🏾

      The recruiters are incredibly nice. They alone will make you want to work for the company. They sell you on the culture, culture, culture. The conversations are eloquent and considerate…. Then you meet the actual people you would work with and it’s so off-putting. The person interviewing the first time, although doing her job, was extra degrading, bland, and judgey during the interview. I ended up interviewing again with this company for another role just to be turned down again. Ugh. The interview felt, again, so unnatural and nit picky. Very one-sided, clicky vibes and not my thing. Honestly it left me not wanting to work for this company or with any of the people I met with. Their egos tied to how “great” the culture is. Didn’t get a good idea of their individual personalities at all. Just ego and had that “I’m better than you”, looking down on you/one sided interview atmosphere. Thankful for the experience but also that I didn’t get the job. 👍🏻
