I went through a multi-stage interview process with this startup, including two separate meetings with the CEO and CTO, as well as completing a technical assignment. While the initial interactions seemed promising, the company's behavior post-interview was disappointing and unprofessional.
After investing significant time and effort into the process, I received no feedback - neither an acceptance nor a rejection. My follow-up email went unanswered, leaving me in a state of uncertainty. This lack of communication is disrespectful to candidates and reflects poorly on the company's professionalism and values.
A simple email providing closure, even if negative, would have been appropriate and appreciated. This experience has left me with a negative impression of the company's hiring practices and overall organizational culture.
Advice to Management:
Implement a proper candidate feedback system. Respect candidates' time and effort by providing timely responses and closure, regardless of the outcome. This will enhance your company's reputation and improve the overall candidate experience.
