Applied online, then sent a test to do on CodeSignal in 90 min. Debugging experience is pretty bad on the site, which led to me getting confused about what the code was doing which ate up a lot of time, and I wasn't able to finish. If you do get caught up a bit on debugging something you probably will run out of time.

CodeSignal test to iteratively implement basic functions. There were four steps. Reading ahead and having the context of future steps might have helped, since it could require refactoring and there's not much time.
Did their online coding round. Not leetcode but more about writing code fast to a spec and refactoring quickly as more constraints are added per stage. I imagine it can be easy or difficult depending on the day.
Applied to an online opening, received the take-home coding assessment after a couple of weeks and rejection shortly after having complete the assessment. Reached third level (out of four) in the assessment.

4-level coding assessment where you're asked to implement a specific system and iteratively add functionalities that requires quick refactoring of the initial implementation.
After having a very strong match with job requirements I get an automated mail from anthropic. This was for an online coding assessment. There is no specification on what can be expected from this round. I am a really good developer in general who have built highly scalable systems in industry and also can solve medium to hard algo questions bug free in under 20 min. I still tried to practice some questions in the said platform. On that assessment, there was a stage wise coding problem. It expected you to move so fast and not at all pay attention to what was written in the problem statement. You could do it in expected time only if you magically know the problem before this and have solutions memorized. I scored only 50% and it was a bad score. I have heard people scoring full in these tests and they happen to be rigged. Because there is no way you can type those solutions without having had seen those problems again and again. My worst experience with any company. If recruiters are reading this, please do better.
