Pretty simple, they just ask about experience and previous job experience before that. Most of the work is training on the spot and some online modules. They call for references and will ask about availability.

The phone interview (1/21/19) part with the HR woman went fine, no hard questions, just wanted to know if I was okay with the pay ($14 hr) and the fact that it was night shift. The in-person interview (1/23/19) at the lab went great too, the Lab supervisor asked me about my resume and asked why I applied for a Parasitology position when I had no experience with that, I had to tell him that the Parasitology specification wasn't part of the job listing. He wasn't surprised to hear that. After some lovely chatting, he gave me a tour of the facility and answered any questions I had. He then told me he'd give his recommendations to the higher ups, wished me well and to call the HR woman if I hadn't heard anything by the end of the week, I waited until a week after the in-person interview (1/30/19) and then I called her and ended up leaving a voice message. Its been more than a month now with no contact, so I guess no job for me then.
Bottom line: Both the phone and in-person interview were a breeze and I had a nice time talking to both people, but the ghosting left a bitter taste in my mouth.
