The process consisted of 3 rounds:
1. Initial Call with Hiring Manager – An introductory conversation to discuss my background, experience, and the tools I’m familiar with.
2. Home Assessment – A take-home assignment focused on API and Web UI Automation Testing.
3. Final Round (around 3 hours)
• Case Study Technical Assessment: A case study was given, and I was asked to explain how I would approach solving it.
• Web & API Technical Assessment: This was positioned as a walkthrough of the home assessment I submitted, but instead I was given another set of live demo questions.
• Behavioral Interview: A standard behavioral/management-style interview with the hiring manager.
Feedback
• The final round felt quite lengthy (3 hours) and could be structured more efficiently. Splitting into shorter online sessions would make the process smoother. Also, if a candidate doesn’t pass the technical portion, it might be more practical to conclude the process there instead of continuing with additional interviews.
• Communication from HR could be more consistent. Calls sometimes came outside of scheduled times, and during the onsite interview, there wasn’t much guidance provided, which left candidates to figure out logistics on their own. A bit more structure and candidate support would improve the overall experience.
