Approached on LinkedIn by an internal recruiter, who set up a screening call (getting to know me and my background) almost immediately. The next step was an in-person interview where I met with two people. The first was the most senior SDR where we talked about the position in a purely conversational setting, and the other was the Sales Development Manager in the office, which was still pretty conversational but of course included some behavioral/situational prompts. The next step was having a call with a Global Sales Leader, which was a 10 minute conversation over Skype. Still a very professional call, but a simple and comfortable exchange. I was then brought in for a final interview, where I met with another SDR and the same manager as before. The process was timely, friendly and transparent from start to finish. Not once did I feel uncomfortable.
I need to give a huge shout-out to Tim S. Never had such an engaging experience with a recruiter, and I could tell from the first second we spoke that he truly cares about who the company is prospecting. They want the best of the best and will do what they can to make sure these people are the right fit for the company, and vice versa.

My experience with interviewing with Anaplan interview was very positive. Tracy, the Hiring Manager, was very professional, organized, and communicated verbal and written instructions on what is required to successfully do well within the interview process through follow-up emails and text messages. Furthermore, I was very impressed with the level of enthusiasm each team member had for working for Anaplan, which made my decision very easy to accept a job offer.

Towards the end of the initial interview with the hiring manager, I was asked to do a role-playing assignment to highlight my prospecting, negotiating, and closing skills with a current Sales Development Representative for the following interview. This assignment required that I research Anaplan’s solutions and present them to the SDR. The great thing about this was I was given plenty of time to prepare, so it worked out well.

Right from the start I was blown away by the team. The first interview was roughly 2 hours long with Tracy Hoel. We had 3 sections that were clearly spelled out for me to align with. Each section was collaborative with easy back and forth interactions. I felt at home and Tracy did a great job and allow me to relax and be myself.
The second interview I met with two direct hiring managers. Each interview was back to back and 30 minutes long. They we both very friendly and upfront about the role and expectations. Another thumbs up from my end about how well run the hiring process is.
The last step was with the director of Sales for North America. This was a quick 30 minute call and a final pass to get me onto the team. He was frank, upfront, friendly, and concise.
The on boarding process has been wonderful with the HR team keeping me in the loop as this can be overwhelming for new hires. They do a great job and making you feel part of the team and taken care of.
As a remote employee it was a concern for me that I would feel isolated but so far this hasn't been a concern.
Overall A+++

The interview process was smooth from start to finish. I worked with Tracy and she was very helpful throughout the whole process and she clearly loves what she does. After the initial phone screen there were 3 rounds of interviews and everyone was easy to talk to and I always ended feeling like I learned a lot about the position and company. The experience has left me excited to join the team and I am looking forward to working with Anaplan.

Typical questions for an interview. Not out trying to grill you or stump you. Very conversational. Take some time and learn about the product (because it is pretty awesome).
