Interviewer says," I am satisfied with your CFD knowledge" Now, Heat transfer and fluid mechanics basic questions started. 1) What is critical radius of insulation? 2) What is Second law of thermodynamics? 3) What is formula for heat transfer due to radiation? 4) What are Bernoulli's assumptions? 5) What is Nusselt number? 6) What is name of non-dimensional number used for differentiating between compressible and non-compressible flow? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd Technical Interview: 1) Can you tell me what all softwares are you good at and also rate your skill level out of 10? 2) Which type of meshing softwares do you know? 3) What type of 3d geometries have you worked with for simulations? {Next questions were on this same project} 4) What type of mesh did you use in the project? 5) Did you do the whole project or just meshing part? 6) Why do you think the results were inaccurate? 7) How did you compare the results with theoretical calculations? {Theory Questions} 1) What are different modes of heat transfer and how do they transfer heat? 2) What is natural convection? 3) Suppose there is bucket filled with water and its has adiabatic walls and its top is open. The temperature of water is 15 to 20 Deg C. Now suppose we place this bucket in an open place with no fan or AC, but there is sunlight coming and ambient air temperature is 35 Deg C. How will the water in the bucket receive the heat? What will be the different modes of heat transfer? 4) Suppose there are two coke cans hanging in center of room, with no fan, AC or sunlight. The temperature of fluid inside the cans is 70 Deg C. Ambient air temperature of room is 30 Deg C. The only difference in both cans is that one is hanging in vertical position and other is horizontal. Which one will cool faster? Interviewer: “ Ok. Depending on your selection you will get an email from HR about acceptance or rejection. Thank you for your time.”

Got call from HR. I applied through linkedin. Interview was scheduled within a week at pune office. Very easy interview. Interview went for 30 minutes. Got the offer. Initially they hire for internship and then based on performance they hire the people.
