An Analog devices recruiter called me out of the blue one day stating he found my number on linkedIn and that he was very interested in me. The call lasted about 30 minutes and I told him I would get back to him, however wouldn't be available to work until three months from now; to which he said was perfect. The next month I received numerous emails and calls from the same guy and I really felt very valued, so, we arranged an interview with a technical manager via Skype. The interview lasted about 45 minutes and consisted of very simple electronic engineering type questions... ie. resistors in parallel and can you draw the frequency response of a high pass filter etc... The interview seemed to be going well as he was asking the most basic questions, so simple that any 1st year student could answer. Then, suddenly, he was totally shocked that I didn't know the the name of a button specific to a brand of oscilloscope that they use in their lab. I of course know how to use an oscilloscope, and the more I tried to reassure him, the less he believed in me. The interview kind of abruptly ended at this point and I was assured that HR would be in touch within a week.
It's been three months since the interview and I still haven't heard from them. Unquestionably the strangest technical interview I've ever had!

Most of the projects in my resume dealt with digital electronics.The interviewer was quite supportive and gave clues to reach to the answers

1)If given the power required for a bit flip in a gray counter and a normal counter,analyse which would consume least power
2)i had done a project on developing a traffic light controller using FSM so I was asked to draw the state diagram
3)I was asked to write a c code for developing aN FSM that changes state based on some conditions
4)Questions were asked related to microcontroller like where the retrurn address will be stored upon raising an interrupt

They explain what will be our role and expectation from us and why you are changing job and reason ? . Then they continue with a technical interview by giving design logic and write a tb_top code

0x0000_0000 to 0x_1000_0000 1st APB SLAVE
0x_4000_0000 to 0x_8000_0000 2nd slave
oxC000_0000 to 0xFFFF_FFFF 3rd slave
In addition to above imagine AHB master number 3 and APB master will provide error response for address range oxC000_0000 to 0xFFFF_FFFF. Note AHB master number 1 and 2 can still access address range oxC000_0000 to 0xFFFF_FFFF.
