The interview process is long and extremely easy. Expect to be there for a good 2 hours. Basically, you wait with other applicants to be called into a conference room, watch a presentation while listening to a manager talk about what they sell, who they sell to, and how much you can make, and take notes the whole time (this is HIGHLY encouraged by them before the start of the presentation). At the end, you find out about the put of pocket expenses to take the job. You need to be licensed to sell insurance so you have to pay for a 5-day class ($180), the exam ($125), and the license itself ($90). Bare in mind, these fees will vary by state. Then, you get called into sit with an interviewer one-on-one. They ask why you are interested and think this is the right fit for you. If you show interest and want to go further they ask you for the cost of the exam and license on the spot (or by the first day of the 5-day class) so they can pre-register you to take the exam.
Honestly, I have no idea what to do. I was very excited about the prospect of forging a new career path for myself and they hyped up this position as enabling you to make a lot of money if you work hard and to promote yourself in the company. However, I have read so many complaints online that now I am scared. I need a job and would love to build a career where I can expand and grow but now I am not sure if this would be a risky mistake. I am supposed to begin classes tomorrow...

Interview process was very smooth and was very informative. Decided not to move forward but seems like a good opportunity. Got another opportunity with base pay so decided on that one.
