I spoke with a manager. He mentioned my experience as a manager. Then I directly asked if this was a sales position. He said it was. Commission only. I explained I wasn't told that this was a sales position. I was told it was a position to help union employees understand their benefits. I was further told that starting pay was $50,000/year, with benefits in 90 days. He said, "I made over $40,000 in just over 4 months when I started, so that would be more than 50,000/year". I showed him the job description I was given - it was very vague with no mention of sales. He said he'd never seen it before. He even chuckled at some of the items listed. I asked if the person who scheduled the interview had a quota to meet, or got a commission for the number of people who came in. He said he didn't know. He was very pleasant and congenial - but offered no apology for the methods used to get me in under false pretenses.
