Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en American Income Life (Metairie, LA) en ago 2013

At first, I was called by an agent out of the blue from "Torchmark" (AIL's parent company). Because I had been to a job fair the day before, I didn't think this was someone cold calling me. I later discovered that the recruiter got my resume and information from my half-completed monster.com profile. The fact that a recruiter was this desperate for leads tells me that this job must have extremely high turnover. She asked me some boilerplate questions about my last job, and then invited me to an interview. She asked that I come "professionally-dressed". When I arrived there, I was asked to fill out several questionnaires and surveys and I was then escorted into a room with a presenter. The presenter will harp on and on about how great the company is, how they only sell insurance to unions, how much they care about their members etc. (S)he'll also entice you with exotic company vacations and huge bonuses and promotions. At the end, you'll have a short chance to sit down with someone who will ask you why you think you should get the job. They'll also ask you if you can afford the insurance certification (which they won't pay for). Finally they'll send you on your way and tell you they'll call you back when they've made their decision. Within about a half-hour, I got a phone call saying I was approved, and I'd need to go back for a third, one-on-one interview. I accepted, but after doing some more research, I decided to cancel the one-on-one interview. I felt like I was being run around in circles.

Interview so far was fair, mainly a presentation about the company, in group setting, with a manager 1:1 afterwards. Overall more a discussion than an interview, with a signup to start learning for the licensing exam.

Overview video was watched. Also answered some questions at the end. Once questions are reviewed someone will reach out (if thought to be a good fit ) for a second interview. This part could take anywhere from a few hours to 24 hours. Once on to next step an interview will be conducted via zoom.
You’ll first receive an invitation to watch an introductory video. Then, you’ll be invited to a group presentation. After that, you’ll complete a one-on-one interview with a manager before getting hired.
