I posted my resume on Monster and received an email from the General Manager asking me if I was interested in setting up an interview. Once you arrive, there is a waiting room with 10 other people. You fill out a form about yourself and wait to get called in by one of the managers. The manager will talk one on one with you to get a feel for what kind of person you are, and will talk to you about your resume. You MUST have a drivers license because you will be visiting people's houses for this job. Once the manager is done interviewing you, you will be sent to a conference room with several other people. There will be a slideshow presentation showing the history of the company and what you will be doing for your position as a benefits consultant. This is NOT a sales job! You are consulting families and you have to enjoy working with people. They mentioned that you have to get your state license before you work for them. This is not a scam! You HAVE to have a license to sell any kind of insurance. I'm currently in the process of taking my courses to take my state exam. They will help you along the way. This company wants you to succeed if you put in the time and effort!

The interviewer was great and I enjoyed the whole process. He asked very intriguing questions and was very responsive to the questions myself and the other interviewees posed. Would definitely recommend.

First of all, they send you a vague email asking you to register to what you assume is their company's preferred version of a Zoom call. It is not. It is a webinar, you can't speak, they don't see you, and you know there are others there because they say so, but you don't know who they are. In this webinar they sell you on the company, the business, and this insanely touted 'serving the public' without mentioning how you'll be serving the public. Then they send you a list of questions, also an automated email, that you're expected to answer strongly.

I DID NOT REALIZE THIS WAS A SCAM!
I applied as a Benefits Consultant for Carvajal Agencies and I ended up not going to the interview after reading these reviews! They called me on a Monday to see if I could interview on Tuesday. Before I interview with companies I go on Glassdoor to get a general idea of what the interview questions will be. I soon realized this company and job sounds like a scam! They make it seem like it's an office job where you're just answering phones and helping clients with their benefits. After reading the reviews everyone said you have to pay for training and that they hire anyone off the street! Apparently they have interviews every Tuesday, and they call who ever they can to come in. This job definitely sounds like a MLM. I'm so glad I came here and realized the truth and didn't waste my time and money.
