There were about 5 rounds of interview. First was phone screen. this was followed by three technical screenings. and two director level interviews. The whole process itself took around 4 months. The technical rounds were centered around situations. the director rounds were more around cognitive

Attitude is more important than the skills.

Step 1 - Posted resume to American Express job portal.
Step 2 - Contacted by Amex recruiter
Step 3 - Contacted by a different Amex recruiter to schedule interview with hiring manager.
Step 4 - Interview with hiring manager. He asked about job and technical background. No specific technical questions.
Step 5 - Several days later interview scheduled with technical manager.
Step 6 - Several days later interview with VP.
Step 7 - Offer.
