You apply online at Carreers.AmericanExpress.com and wait for a recruiter to call you for a Pre-Screening, then if they like you, they set up a video interview. If they are still interested, you will get an invitation for a meet and greet so they can check you out and finally a personal panel based interview.

There was a long interview process, jumping between four to five different people. and then a long background check process. Overall, the process ran pretty smoothly but was very long

Tell me a time you delt with an irrrate customer and how did you handle this.
Interviewers focus on whether my personality matches with the company values, and whether my ability can master the job. The interview is relatively casual though, instead of asking questions in one way, they constantly provide feedbacks, including credits and guidiance.

Friendly and casual; hiring leader was friendly and interview questions were pretty casual. There was a small case study to gauge your problem solving skills and impromptu mock call session.
