During my first interview with AWS, the process primarily involved discussing my CV and professional experiences. The interviewer asked me to elaborate on various roles I had previously held, focusing on specific projects and my contributions to them. We discussed the technologies I had worked with, the challenges I faced, and how I overcame them.
In addition to reviewing my CV, the interviewer posed several questions to assess my technical knowledge. These questions spanned different areas, including cloud computing fundamentals, AWS services, and system design principles. They also included scenario-based questions where I had to explain how I would solve particular technical problems using AWS solutions.
Overall, the interview was a balanced mix of discussing my past experiences and demonstrating my technical expertise, providing a comprehensive overview of my suitability for the role at AWS.

First interview is for getting to know you and asking simple questions about your experience.
Second interview is technical and regards the main topic of the role you are applying for — they go in depth, it is not just surface level.

In short, the interview lacked the human element completely, I could have been talking to a bot and have had the same interview perfectly the same.
I shudder to think if the interview is so cold how they treat people internally.
