I applied for this position, and within a day or two I got a link to complete an online assessment. The online assessment had 2 portions: technical systems and networking questions and behavioral questions. The technical questions were not too hard, if you have IT experience. Then, after passing that, i had a technical phone interview over the phone. This one was a little harder, but still passable if you have network, operating system experience. Then, after passing this interview, i interviewed with 4 more people in on-site virtual interview. 2 of the interviews were technical and 2 were behavioral.
Overall, the technical interviews were basic Linux and networking questions. The behavioral ones were based on the STAR method.
I can say I have both a bachelors and masters in computer science, and years of technical experience and apparently i did not make the cut.
I was very polite in the interviews, and I thought the interviews went really well, so I am guessing these interviews are more "likeability tests", and they didnt like me, or they had to meet interview quotas and already knew who they were going to hire and wasted my time, since this is more of any entry level position.
I can definitely say I will not be wasting my time interviewing for Amazon again. Too much work going through their interview process, for them to be wasting a bunch of applicants times.
