The interview process was very quick. At the time the agency had not posted the position on their website; however, they received applications for future openings. The interview team indicated they were going to open a new position as their agency is growing. Most of the communication was done via e-mail. The first interview was conducted by phone and lasted approximately 20 minutes. Within the next week, an in-person interview was conducted. The next day the hiring manager requested references and a writing sample. References were contacted late Friday afternoon and had the opportunity to respond over the weekend. By Wednesday of the following week applicants received a response. The response was similar to another applicant and was somewhat impersonal. Applicants received an email, not a phone call. The interview team was engaging and pleasant to speak with; however, some of the questions asked were poorly worded. The panel seemed to really focus on my ability to work with their cliental, which was described as “entitled” due to their education and financial stability. In addition, one’s level of empathy was another area of interest. The agency is primarily focused on the child(ren), which is a positive and the location is great.
