After a three week interview process and a verbal job offer, I never heard back from the company (see below)...
- I had one interview on Zoom with HR.
- One in office interview with CEO.
- Final Zoom interview with the CEO.
There wasn't much information proactively coming from the HR representative, but despite that I thought the process overall was fairly quick, straightforward, and positive.
Three weeks out from my original call with the HR representative, I was provided with a verbal offer, scheduled to start the first week of May. I asked for an official offer letter, which appeared to me to be met with some hesitancy. I explained that I wanted an offer letter to detail the hourly / annual pay, the commission structure, benefit start dates/info, 401(k), PTO, etc - generally all information the company and I would agree to regarding my employment. The representative told me that they normally don't provide a formal letter, but would send something along for me to review.
Over a week went by and I had neither received the offer letter, nor have I heard anything from either the HR representative or CEO. Taking this latest turn into account, I had made the unfortunate decision to move on from this opportunity.
For anyone applying, make sure to get something in writing and signed by the company.
