During my online technical interview, they asked for my video camera on which is quite normal especially during this pandemic. But they do not have any of their videos on. I think it is very rude for interviewers to treat candidates like that especially when we spend the time studying and reserving time for them. Very not welcoming at all. Most of the time, it's silent, and me talking to myself. The technical screener then told me, "I do not have anything else, so I will pass you to the other interviewer. Thank you." She then left the chat room, and the first interviewer left a few seconds later. Very unprofessional. Also, they were offering 40k/year. That is probably why they treat others like just another fish rather than a person.

Awful. It seemed to echo what others had been saying. I arrived, was sat down and waited 30 minutes before they decided to remind the interviewer I'm there. The man gave me a problem and proceeded to ignore me at his computer while he worked, never even glancing my way. It was something I was not familiar with an efficient solution for, so I decided to do a quick brute force and then start optimizing from there to start(if he was listening he would have heard me saying this out loud). At one point he even left the room for several minutes. After I finished coding a brute force, I was validating its accuracy with a quick test when he finally decided to get up and berate me for my solution. He has paid no attention to what I was doing or working towards and jumps into mocking my work ethic and intelligence. He was scrambling through my code telling me why it doesn't even work. He then sat down and proceeded to ignore me and work like he had the last 15 minutes. I was so stunned I stood there in shock for a few seconds before I left. The pay for this position is a joke and I told him I'm not taking a pay cut to go to a company where people are treated that way. And by the way, the algorithm I wrote did in fact correctly solve the problem.
