I arrived about 15 minutes early for my preliminary interview. The secretary handed me an application to fill out while I waited for the hiring manager to see me. A couple minutes later, the hiring manager walked up to me and introduced himself, as did I to him. We walked inside a small room and we sat at opposite sides of a small table. He started by using small talk, asking me how the traffic on the way down was. Then he asked me when I'd be able to start the job, what jobs I've held before, and if I get stressed if I get a few "no's" in a day. After those questions, he started explaining how their company works, what I would be doing in the emtry level position, and seeing if I had interest in the company. He ended the interview with a couple of good handshakes, then he gave me his phone number and he told me to call him to set up a second interview before my college graduation in December. I then smiled and left. A few days later, I called and he didn't pick up. I left a voicemail with my name, reason for calling, and my number. We'll see what happens next!
