Disappointing Experience After Months of Interviewing I was referred to this company back in January and went through about four rounds of interviews, plus a difficult assessment. I completed everything successfully and received positive feedback throughout. Toward the end, the recruiter even told me I had been selected for the role, pending final approval. There was no formal offer yet, but it sounded like everything was on track. Then things took a strange turn. The recruiter who had been handling my process left the company without notice, and I was later contacted by someone else who told me they were still interviewing other internal candidates. That was extremely confusing and frustrating — how could they still be interviewing others after I was told the decision was made? It’s now been six months since the process started. I invested a lot of time and effort, and to be told at the last minute that the role might go to someone else feels very disappointing. I understand things can change, but clear and consistent communication is the least any candidate deserves.
