Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Alcon (Lake Forest, CA) en oct 2023
Entrevista
I initially had a first round technical interview including a coding test over Zoom. I was then brought in for a full day of interviews, including a tour of the site. After this, I was rejected due to — according to my recruiter — one senior member feeling I didn't have enough senior level experience, and not having worked on the specific hardware they were looking for. Both these things are readily apparent on my resume, and I feel they wasted my time by bringing me in. Alcon was completely disrespectful of my time, behavior that is becoming depressingly common among employers. If you interview with Alcon, I would urge you to ask them right off the bat if you have the level of experience they're looking for, and if they have any reservations about hiring you based on your resume.

They gave me a simple coding test involving writing some example code to read and write to an I2C bus.
The recruiter called me and arranged an interview with the hiring manager. I was expecting a typical: 'tell me about yourself' interview for the first round. But the very first interview was a technical interview. The interviewer was pleasant and the 5 questions were not particularly hard.
