I was set up for the interview by a recruiter. I interviewed with the Head of IT. The didn't ask any questions at all first they just start out of the blue with a technical test (SQL server) to see where you stand before asking competency questions. The test was on a laptop so you actually had to use SQL server and correct some queries and do a bit of debugging and check some logs. After that they had some general interview questions which were more competency-based. I didn't get an offer because they needed someone more junior for the role. They wanted me for a different position in their MI team but they currently weren't hiring for any other roles unfortunately and couldn't afford to just create a position for me.
