I recently interviewed with Addepar, and unfortunately, it was not a positive experience. From the start, the HR representative appeared disinterested, giving the impression that conducting the interview was more of a formality than a genuine opportunity to engage. When she joined the call, she seemed visibly surprised or disappointed, as if I wasn't the candidate she had expected.
Throughout the interview, her body language and tone suggested she was not fully engaged. It felt like I was speaking to someone who was simply going through the motions, rather than trying to assess my qualifications or understand my experiences. Despite answering all the questions confidently and meeting the criteria for the role, it was clear that her mind had been made up long before the interview concluded.
To no surprise, I received a regret email the following day, despite being confident that I had performed well. It left me feeling like the decision wasn't based on my actual skills or experience but on preconceived notions or other factors beyond my control.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially considering the effort and preparation that goes into these interviews. I hope Addepar takes feedback like this seriously and strives to make the recruitment process more respectful and professional for future candidates
