Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Acquire (Raleigh, NC) en ene 2019

      Entrevista

I first went through the typical phone-screening interview, moved on to the first in-person interview, and finally a second in-person interview. The phone interview asked me three basic questions to make sure I was local, was interested in marketing, and what specifically about marketing was I interested in. The first in-person interview was another screening asking me about the company, the clients/work they do, and asking about personal attributes (strengths, weaknesses, goals, etc.). However, this was completely impersonal as the interviewer had clearly barely looked at my resume before inviting me into the room AND I was one of 20 people in the room that they were screening so it was clear I was not very important. However, the person I talked with the first day seemed very excited and said I would be a great fit as a Marketing Assistant, and wanted to see me back again for another round. The second interview was worse as they tried to "woo" me with coffee and showing off their office, as the interviewer was discreetly reading my resume because he had never seen it before. As like the first day, I was in another large pool of candidates and they were simply going through them as quick as possible. BUT, the WORST part was the position I applied for DOES NOT EXIST! It was a sales position that wanted me to stand on a floor of Sam's Club and sell products, with NO MARKETING INVOLVED! I was barely interviewed and instead was walked through how you make your salary based on commission, and then tried to sell me on the ability to "move up" quickly within the company. It was the slimiest, most misdirected interview (and company) I had ever experienced. Someone who wants to go into the sales would be great for this company, but do not be FOOLED by misleading position titles and smooth-talking interviewers.

Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for your feedback. It is disappointing to hear that you did not have a better interview experience with us at Acquire. Recently, we have moved into multiple industries such as SmartHome, Whole Home Control, and Mobility. Our portfolio has grown quite a bit in a short period of time and, although this is a great position to be in, we now have more clientele and territory throughout our region than we do manpower. Due to our growth, we are rapidly hiring, which can lead to our lobby backing up and for that, we apologize. We sincerely apologize if the number of applicants that were present at the time of your interview caused you any uncertainty or caused you to have an unpleasant experience. However, we would like to state that each applicant is interviewed individually and our lobby where applicants await their interview can only hold up to 9 people at one time. We hope we have been able to provide some clarity through our response and we thank you, again, for your review of your interview process. We wish you the very best. Kind Regards, Acquire Human Resources Dept.
