Entrevista
The interview process consisted of an initial phone interview that lasted between 30-45minutes. After that, the recruiter invited me to a finalist interview at the actual school. During the finalist interview, I received a tour of the school, observed some classes, taught a demo lesson to students, and had a formal interview with the principal. It was a great experience because I fell in love with the school's atmosphere.

What are some challenges that first year teachers face? How would you overcome this challenge?
The first round includes a pre-recorded interview. If you successfully pass that round, you will be invited to a one-on-one interview with a recruiter. Lastly, they will email you within the same week with your offer

How would I go about correcting a higher up, when they continue to make a mistake pronouncing a students name?
There’s an initial phone call that is first part of the interview, and then you complete the second part of the application where you answer interview questions via video. It’s not live but you record yourself answering the questions within a certain time limit. Afterwards, once you get accepted by the program you get an offer from a school and you do one final interview (supposed to be around 90 minutes with demo lesson, role play, questions about your teaching philosophies/techniques) with the school’s administration.

Why do you want to work with/for Achievement First?
The process was very organized and timely. It was a very professional process. They were clear on their expectations for the interview process. At the beginning of the interview I was able to present my demo lesson and received quality feedback.
