The initial phone screening was with the lead designer. The call was fine, but contrary to what the operations manager said, the designer never reached out to me to plan the call time. After reaching out to the operations manager in an attempt to thank the designer for his time, I was not contacted until after reaching out for a second nearly a week and a half after the first call. This was quickly remedied as the ops manager wanted to schedule an in-person interview. When I came in for the interview, the ops manager was a bit late. No big deal as it was early before normal works hours. At the end of the interview, the ops manager said Accelerate Digital Agency (as that was the company's new name after a rebrand) would get back to me within the next week and a half. After waiting patiently for any communication on the status of the application, I finally sent an email after 2 weeks to follow-up on the supposed decision. After waiting a few more days, I called the phone number in the ops manager's email signature to ask for more information. I did this mainly so I could cross them off my list, as I figured they weren't going to hire me. What perturbed me was the lack of professionalism in never responding to a candidate after an in-person interview in which a follow-up conversation was to be held. I'm more angry about the disrespect than I am about not getting the job, but if how they treat their candidates is a sign of how the employees are treated, it does not bode well for Accelerate.
