To begin, the HR department at this company was unable to communicate the needs of the position clearly with the recruiter! As a result, I had a very embarrassing situation of facing the hiring manager who was very nice about the miscommunication and expressed his frustration with the HR department. The hiring manager wanted a person who is able to sell services and not products. I was not keen in selling services at all. Had I known, I would not have applied for the position. It was weeks of preparation down the drain.
I am very unimpressed with an organisation that does not communicate well between departments.
