Entrevista
Found role through a recruiter. She scheduled a call with the hiring manager which was about 30 min. He asked a few general programming knowledge questions and we reviewed my experience. After that they sent me an API and a few instructions to build an app. They didn't like my app, not impressive enough for the salary I was asking for was the only feedback I got.
The initial interview with the hiring manager went well. The interviewer was friendly, kind and asked relevant questions.
The interviewer assigned a take-home project with instructions that it should be completed in 4 hours. I completed the basic portions of the project but left a couple of the "bonus" portions with which I was unfamiliar.
I spent about 8 hours on the work and knew it was unpolished, but definitely enough to show my skills and generate conversation.
They gave me some very general feedback, but didn't schedule a second interview to discuss my work. IMHO, when a company asks you to spend any more than an hour on a demo project, they should at least give you a chance to discuss and defend your work. While they did give feedback, it was very general and I could have benefited from more details.

Asked to write JSX on a whiteboard (bizarre). Didn’t ask me any other engineering questions or anything else related to the actual job. The rest of the interview was just a sales pitch to get me to work there. I later discovered most of the benefits were exaggerated or out right lies.
