I applied through a recruiting company. The whole process took around month and a half. I first had a Skype interview with the recruiters (basically an HR interview). After a couple of weeks I was invited to an interview in Veldhoven (flights and one night of hotel covered for) with the hiring managers who are actually the group leaders. The interview was easy overall, they know the technical stuff very well but didn't go too deep into it. On the other hand they wanted me to explain to them my research topic so far, they want to make sure you can express yourself clearly and that you can talk about technical topics if necessary. The day after the interview I got contacted with a job offer.
