The interview itself was pretty straight forwards with common questions such as: Why are you interested in this position? What skills do you have that would be benficial to your team? Do you consider yourself an independent worker or better at working in groups? How do you feel about working over time when a project requires it? How do you feel about learning a german as a new foreign language? (If you don't speak german already) As a metallurgist i was asked some straight forwards questions regarding gas turbine blades and veins in the hot gas path and compressor sections. Nothing at a PhD level, but being familiar with physical metallurgy in gas turbines is definately a good thing.
