Me postulé en persona. Acudí a una entrevista en ALDI en oct 2017

I went to an Aldi hiring event and was very optimistic. I had downloaded the PDF application from the website and typed all of my information in, but signed my name at the bottom in pen as instructed. I then dressed in a nice outfit and went to the hiring event. It was in a pop up tent with tables outside of the store being remodeled. The interview itself only lasted a few minutes, there was no one else around besides me and the manager, so I am not sure the reason for such a rush. The manager only looked at my availability, last two jobs, and then asked me if I have any questions. I was taken back by how blunt and quick the interview was. Aldi has been one of my favorite stores (along with Trader Joe's) and I was ready to tell her how many times this store has saved my budget and that I love the quality. I also have grocery shopped in Strasbourg, France and this store reminded me of the experiences I had at Leclerc. (Cashiers get to sit on chairs, aren't bothered to harass you for savings cards, you bring your own bags, and coin operated carts). Alas, such a blasé and neutral experience at this interview, not heartwarming or personal. I read other reviews saying that they had gotten a call that day or the next day so I can assume there is no offer. Thank you for the experience and interview practice nonetheless.

I will be contacted by a recruiter and a date will be set up and I may have a few interviews that may have more than one person and if I am right for the position they will ask when I would like to start after I do onboarding and a few other things
The interview process was a lot for a simple position. I think one interview is enough for this kind of position. I think two interviews waste people’s time. I also had to wait a while in line before I could talk to the manager
Sit down interview with the store manager and the district manager. Very normal interview questions. Dress professionally. Act like you care about the job and company. To really secure it mention that you're open to working in leadership/mgmt position in future.
