Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó más de 1 semana. Acudí a una entrevista en ALDI (Perth, Australia Occidental) en abr 2016

      Entrevista

I applied for the position online and received an email a few days later to say that I had gotten through to the interview process, take a link and choose an interview time. There were three consecutive days to choose from and either a 9.30am-10.30am or 10.30am-11.30am session. Throughout the course of the day they will be assessing candidates suitability to join the Store Operations team as Retail Assistants. Candidates should make themselves available for the entire day, as you may be invited to stay for a second and third round of interviews. The day will run as follows: Round 1 Assessment Centres - 2 - 3 minute interview with a recruiter Round 2 Group Interview - 30 minute session with ALDI Area Manager Round 3 Individual Interview - 10 minute interview with ALDI Area Manager (held after lunch) I arrived at the interview 15 mins before hand to find a line of candidates over 100metres long stretching out the door of the building I was told to attend. An hour and 15 minutes later I arrived at the front door. I gave my name to the girl behind a desk and was told to write my name on a sticker and put it on. I then waited a further 20 minutes in the line in the foyer before getting to the main hall. In the main hall 4 recruiters sat at individual desks conducting the 1st Round interviews. There were two lots of 7 rows with 5 chairs and as candidates were called up to a desk everyone stood up and moved to the next chair and people in the foyer took a place on the last seat. At the desk the questions asked were just the ones that were asked on your online application. Name four store preferences, you will be on your feet all day and it is a fast-paced busy job - you will be expected to constantly lift 20kgs - do you think you are up to it. You must be available 5 days in a row out of the 7 and you must be available from 6am-11pm on those days. You will have to have a national police check done on you, are you okay with this and is there anything you want to tell us now before we do the check? Candidates were then either told thank you, we will send you an email or go and tell the girl at the front desk to put you into the 2nd round for a group interview, and you had to write your name and email address on a piece of paper and then hang around for another 30 minutes or more. The female recruiters I were robots, mine spoke quickly and was emotionless. The 2 men shook your hand and introduced themselves and smiled. 2nd Round Group Interview - There were two groups in the room of 20 people in each group. The Aldi Area Manager asked a few questions about what we knew about Aldi and no one knew anything so I answered every single one correctly. He then talked extremely fast about how Aldi keeps their costs low and showed a few slides with information about Aldi. This took 7 minutes. He then said we would do a group discussion and he sat with my circle and another lady sat with the other circle. He then asked everyone their name, and wrote it down on his clipboard. Then he asked the girl to his right where she currently works and why she likes retail - we were told we had 30 seconds to say it. At this point don't actually listen to anyone else, just think of what you need to say as by the time it got the last person on the Manager's left, she had forgotten what the question was. LOTS of people who currently work at Coles and Woolworths only 3 people didn't. Question - what does customer service mean. Then he went around the circle again - the opposite way - When in your job have you been really proud of yourself?( 30 seconds to answer). The 3rd lady didn't give an answer and asked if he could come back to her and the final girl didn't even get to answer as they cut the interview off there. They said to hang around for a bit and don't go too far, they will call people to come back for a 3rd round interview later that day, just go over to Carousel Shopping Centre and get yourself a coffee. We then went out to the foyer and as we walked out the door another recruiter said they do have time to do a few 3rd round interviews, and called about 10 peoples names even though people had walked out the door and gone to their cars. The rest of the candidates were told that they don't have time for any more this afternoon, keep an eye on your emails for a 3rd round call back. Interview finished at 2:15pm Eat before you go and take a water bottle.

Was overly complicated and too many stages, online test x2 and a recorded interview. Application itself is very tedious and is not very friendly to new users. Apparently you need to know someone already in ALDI to work at there stores.

Call interview. Got an email to schedule a time for a call interview and passed it. Still need to do a Store interview (which I was told would be the final interview).

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

Tell me about yourself (Phrased: I have your resume on hand but we like to know more about you as a person) Why do you want to leave your current job? Tell me how a day would look like at your current job. Why do you want to work at Aldi? What do you think would your role at ALDI look like? What tasks would be doing? Do you have an RSA? Do you have any questions for us? Availability.
