I applied online and was invited to a virtual interview with a Senior HR representative. The interview was scheduled without issue, and I joined a few minutes early. The recruiter joined a few minutes late and led most of the conversation.
During the interview, I discussed my experience, the types of projects I’ve managed, and how I approach challenges. The conversation itself was positive, and toward the end, the recruiter appeared to be reviewing the hiring managers' calendar to schedule a next step.
After the interview, I sent a thank-you email and followed up for an update but did not receive any response. About a week later, I received an automated rejection email.
Overall Impression:
While the interview itself was professional, the lack of communication and follow-up left a negative impression. The experience ultimately felt discouraging and could have been improved with clearer and more timely communication.
