The interview was over zoom and very impersonal, questions were read from a script and by the end, it felt as though the recruiter was trying to dissuade me from wanting to work in this position.

A recruiter reached out to me telling me about two open positions. One was for BD and the other was for AM. He set up an interview with the hiring manager to determine what the best fit was for me. The first thing the hiring manager said was they didn't currently have any openings but wanted to interview for the future. While I appreciate the manager was upfront, the recruiter was not.
