Our 1,310m² workshop houses a wide variety of precision machining equipment, with lifting capacities up to 10 tonnes. We work across a range of demanding sectors including marine, mining, oil & gas, petrochemical, steel foundry, defence, and nuclear industries.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a highly skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to program and operate a Vertical Borer machine.

This role is a permanent nightshift position working four fixed night shifts per week, Monday to Thursday, helping to provide greater work/life balance and allowing employees to better plan their personal and social time around a consistent working pattern. The role also offers excellent earning potential through enhanced shift allowances and overtime opportunities.

Applicants should have the following skills and experience:

• Ability to work unsupervised and interpret engineering drawings to ISO 9001:2015 standards
• Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent time-served experience
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC machinery from engineering drawings and instructions
• Fanuc control experience advantageous, although training can be provided
• Ability to set tool offsets
• Competent in inspecting work using standard measuring equipment
• Ability to support colleagues and work closely with Production Supervisors regarding planning, tooling and production issues
• Experience machining exotic materials including phosphor bronze, duplex and Inconel
• Commitment to maintaining production efficiency, quality and safety standards during shift operations
