The fourth annual Skip the Grid trip took SOLV Energy team members to Chinle, AZ, in late March to help power up 40 homes for students in the Navajo Nation! The GOAL ZERO Solar Systems, provided at no cost to homeowners, include (4) 100-watt panels, (1) 1,500-watt battery and (2) lights. This year we were also able to install refrigeration systems to store essentials like fresh food and medicine thanks to donations from industry partners. Skip the Grid provides the opportunity for employees and students to experience first-hand the difference light can bring to families. A very special thank you to our partners, Nextracker Inc. and Heart of America, and this year's group of Cal Poly SLO students for their leadership and support. Most of all, we're grateful to the Navajo community, including 90+ K-12 students, who welcomed us to your homes and schools!
