After applying for the position online, the person within the department had reached out to schedule a call to discuss the role and my background. After agreeing on a time, I've spent additional time researching the company on Glassdoor and Google and found that the company is doing good things and might be a good fit for me and so I was looking forward to this conversation. On the day of the call, I did some additional prep to make sure I have enough background to speak about my desire to work there potentially, but unfortunately, Vision Government Solutions did not bother to call. I sent a follow-up email, very politely and professionally, and was still not given any courtesy follow up. I completely understand that there may have other candidates that appeared to be more appealing than my candidacy in the time between the first email and the scheduled call, but I was very disappointment could not respect my time and give me the courtesy of letting me know that call was not going to happen. If Vision is interested in attracting the best talent, it would be their great benefit to make sure that any public interactions are conducted professionally.
