Post office timeline for 2015 in Georgia. Here is my experience as a first time applicant:
10/26- applied
10/27- home assessment
11/4- passed proctored assessment
11/9- faxed background approval
11/13- completed drug test & credit screening
12/8- city carrier interview
During this interview he said nothing to me and simply reviewed answers I provided on a paper application, I completed upon arrival.
12/11- conditional offer received
12/15- human resources paperwork
12/28- first day of orientation
All communications were via email.
Everything was very meticulous and tedious! No rescheduling permitted.

Pour, there was no interview. Everyone is welcome to apply for this”government ” job. I personally think that the whole process should be changed. Employees should be the face of this company.

There is no interview process. You just get selected, and have to pass a process for your background and fingerprints. After that you do a shadow day, to decided if thats a job you want to do.

There is not an interview for this position. Just apply online, pass the background screening and receive your start date. Best time to apply is for the holiday season. I was hired on for the holiday season and received a call back in less than a month after the season ended to return back for a 360 position.
