So I've been trying to do my research in what the interview process would be like, how to prepare, and how orientation would be like. I was successful in finding information on the inverview process but not on orientation. But let's start with the interview. I applied and got emailed about an interview I had to attend. When you have to attend this interview make sure you get there early. The earlier you get in the quicker you get out. They explained basic information about USPS and how everything works. You go through you paper work, then you get interviewed. When you sit down, make sure you have a smile and explain to them why you think the job is right for you and why you could succeed and be what they need. After the interview, I waited 2 days and got an email for a conditional job offer and I accepted it. Waiting for an email about orientation was the worst. You have to consistently check you email because you never know when you're going to get that email. It varies between people. I got my email in about 3 weeks. In the email, I had to report in a week. Then I went to orientation (which is paid for) and it was like any regular orientation. They informed us in depth about the positions we applied for and more about their policies. Orientation is 2 days, then CCA academy is 2 more days. The CCA academy goes in depth about your specific position and gives you great and needed information to prepare you for your future career. That's as far as I completed. After your last day of CCA academy, they give you a packet of what you need to do after that. After orientation, you have to complete defensive driving course, on the job training, and a driving course. You cannot miss any days. Probation is 90 work days or 120 days. I am not a career employee because that's based off seniority. So you work for 360 days and are off 5 days, then work again for 360 days. Once you become career, which can happen at an average of 1 year, you'll get all the benefits and a raise.

Easy I just sat down with the post master and we talked for 20 minutes. Not many questions where asked besides why I wanted to work for the post office.
