At best the interview process is messy and at worst incompetent. You will email back and fourth between two or three different people in the hiring department before you ever step foot in the branch for an in person interview. Once you speak with one person for a phone Interview it is nearly impossible to get back in touch with that person and you have to redo the phone screen or chase them down. By the time you finally go to the on site interview, even if you made an appointment you still have to wait in line and they don’t do interview but job fares. The interview in itself takes only about 15 minutes and they expect you to show up with a paper hard copy of your resume(as if we are still in the 80s) and if not then they don’t know anything about you. They ask you about only 3-5 questions and it’s very hard to cast yourself as a competent individual with so few questions. Also, I went in there to apply for the bankers position and the manager told me they do not pay no where near the 35k salary I said I expected(someone with education, experience and the drive would expect anywhere from 40-60k for a bankers position) also, on Glassdoor and other online sites they claim to pay 40-60k but that is obviously a lie. overall, US Bank is obviously only interested is getting low paid employees to do the job at a much lower cost and they are not really interested in quality employees but numbers alone and I assume it’s a cost cutting technique. So, I don’t recommend this employer(I worked at another bank as a bank teller) and overall I think it’s not worth the 2 month wait to get hired.
