Overall, I had a positive experience interviewing for the Engineering Manager II role. The recruiter was friendly and professional, and the interview itself was well organized. The first round focused on people management and leadership behaviors, with questions covering topics like managing stakeholders, navigating difficult decisions, resolving team conflicts, and leadership style. The questions were what I would expect for an engineering management interview and gave me a good opportunity to discuss my experience. The biggest downside was the pace of communication between stages, as responses sometimes took longer than expected. Ultimately, the hiring process was paused due to organizational changes before I could continue to the remaining interview rounds. While it was disappointing not to complete the process, the team was transparent about the reason, and I appreciated being informed. Overall, I'd still consider interviewing with TomTom again if the opportunity arises.
