As is typical of other responses, I applied via their website and after completing the application and multiple-choice personality quiz, received an automated email indicating they wished to interview in person, to contact the Store Manager and listed the phone number of the store i applied to. The next morning i did so,and the answering Associate was very helpful in arranging for me to come in and meet up with the Store Manager the following day as he was off that day (Wednesday). The next day we were to meet at 11:00am so i made it there a few minutes early and just milled about as the Associate i spoke to by phone was the only employee there at that moment, andshe was tending to Customers. Once she was done, she greeted me pretty enthusiastically once i told her i was interviewing, and mentioned the Store Mgr. was making a Bank Deposit and would be right back. Once he returned about 10minutes after, he pulled my app off a store computer and came up and introduced himselfand apologized for keeping me waiting. We walked toward the rear of the Salesfoor and he just asked me minor questions such as: My general background (I have prior Retail including Store Management experience) , How i heard of the position (I'm a frequent shopper), Why i'd like to work with their company ( I dig the clothes and have never met a rude or pushy Associate at any of their locations, They're a company with high business review ratings etc...)
He seemed pretty receptive to my answers and was very easy-going, we talked a bit about my schedule availibiilty and my interestin returning to school (i'm in my late 30's, think more Georges St. Pierre and not Taylor Lautner...hah)...and while as others have indicated from their interviews it did seems a bit rushed and not as in depth as others i've done, He seemed pretty chatty and personable thoughout. But,also working in Retail before i know that it's pretty easy to fake friendliness so we'll see how it goes...
At the end he mentioned that i should check my email over the next 48hrs as they typically will send an email indicating whether they were going to pursue the Hiring Process, but that i may also get a call from himself personally. Either way he stated that I should hear something either way by Saturday, which is when he would start calling in Applicants for secondary interviews.
