I applied online and the recruiter contacted me to schedule the initial phone interview a few days later. That goes well and I get a link to take a Codility challenge. The amount of time given was more than enough to complete the 2 programming questions. That went well and we scheduled for on-site which consisted of hiring manager, product manager, system design, and technical coding interviews. The on-site goes well and I actually enjoyed speaking with everyone. A few days later, the recruiter emails me that the team had all positive feedback and he should be able to relay something more in-depth later towards the middle of the week. I follow up again after I hear nothing, only for the recruiter to reassure me that he should be able to relay something over and that I’m a “top-candidate”. Come the end of the week and I get an automated email with rejection and no feedback. It’s very off putting to be led on with nothing but positives and (at the very least) promise of feedback for more than a week when I told the recruiter already that I was on a time crunch with other companies’ offers but really considered joining them instead.

The interview process was 1. Recruiter Screen 2. Video call with the team - Mostly behavioral 3. 3 hour on-site - System Design, Leetcode, Behavioral, and Leadership All 3 stages were fine. Although after dedicating 5 hours of my time and taking a half a day of PTO for the onsite, I was ignored when I asked for feedback.
