My first and foremost interview experience. It was campus recruitment. Clearing the online test itself guarantees placement, as per my understanding. i was the last candidate in the panel at around 6.30 PM. I am from electronics & communication branch and never planned to be in an IT company. But the induction changed my mind and was attracted to the TATA group. Had only single round of interview. 2 member panel, guess 1 from HR(lady) and 1 from tech. Volunteer at the door directed me to the panel with my resume. I was bit nervous, was unable to talk at the start of the interview. Still managed to give a good smile and wished them. They asked me to tell something about me. Started like : I am<name> doing b.tech in electronics & communication> in <college name>. Did my schooling<school>. About mini project. A small brief. Becoz main project was not started at that time. About family. The very first question was whether i know C or C++.Answered yes.Then they asked me to write a program to swap. Wrote it. 1 more program they asked,....don't remember the question exactly. Some syntax error was there in that and I simply accepted that and told that I don't remember much as C++ was taught in 3rd semester. Next asked me draw to internal architecture of 8086. Once dat was done he asked me to explain dat...at that moment i noticed flags were missing. Added dat. They just smiled for dat. Now they asked whether I have any questions. I said "No". There ends.........Next day result came and I was selected. To my surprise all the interview rejections of the drive came from my panel.
