Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en Target (Boston, MA) en jul 2015

I got a call to come in for an interview a few days after I applied. When I got there, I was told that I would be going through two rounds of interviews; one with an HR team member and the other with the hiring manager. Although Target is retail, I didn't think HR would also be very retail based. They kept stressing the importance of keeping a wide availability (i.e.. 6am-12am every day). Their questions and their description of how things run make it seem as if the position was floor retail instead of being the HR department. I even asked what the HR position entailed and the HR team member told me, "It's basically a lot of organizing and data entry. And sometimes if the floor needs backup, we would send people on the floor." I felt like I was applying for a floor team member instead.

Initial phone screen and then was invited for an on-site interview with standard "what is your weakness/biggest strength" type questions. The most annoying part was having a specific interview time but since they bring in all of the candidates at once it ended up starting 30 minutes late.

I applied online and was called next day for a phone interview. Glad I didn't waste time for an in-person interview because I found out this "Human Resource Team Member" is actually a floor team member, paid slightly above minimum wage. I am done wasting time with retail stores that title their low positions as something they are not just for a bait and switch.

One of the most unprofessional experiences. The HR team leader called 6 pm Friday evening introducing herself by first name. No last name or company name in her opening sentence. I almost hung up. Had in person interview after she called last minute to reschedule.
She did almost all of the talking at the interview. She was a 5th grade teacher who got the job from a family member's recommendation. She had been working at Target for 8 months. The office area was a mess. The conference room was unusable because of boxes and stuff piled everywhere. She said I was qualified but worried that I would not stay long term (overqualified). I did my best to convince her that location, hours, and scope of job was exactly what I was looking for. She moved forward and had me choose training dates and a start date and acted as if I got the job and would call me that afternoon to finalize everything. She never gave her last name, biz card or email address. She never called or wrote back. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing.

She did almost all the talking. Asked what I would like about the job and what I wouldn't like about the job
