Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Schmidt Futures (New York, NY) en mar 2022
Entrevista
The interview process was super straightforward and comfortable. I was contacted by an external recruiter, who was able to give me detailed information on the role and salary range in the very first conversation. From there it was another phone screen, followed by a take home assignment (Personally I find take home assignments so much more preferable than leetcode style questions, so I was really glad this was their approach). After that, it was a conversation with the manager and engineer around my approach where we had a real human to human conversation, didn't feel stuffy at all, felt like I was talking to friends about my coding approach. After that a few more conversations with other teams and IC's at the company, finally ending with an interview with the CEO. I found the whole thing to be an awesome interview experience. The people I spoke with made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout, and I felt free to be myself during the entire process.

Entrevista
The interview process was multistep:
1. Phone screen
2. Hiring manager screen
3. A takehome where you are given some representative data and asked to design an API matching individuals with available job opportunities
4. Discussion of the takehome (code review, explanation of design choices, etc)
5. Discussion with product managers
6. Another interview with various members of the team (most of the questions were technical, but not everyone on the call was technical)
7. Meeting with the CEO
All said and done, the interview process probably took about 10-12 weeks (although a good chunk of that time was trying to schedule the last interview with the CEO, who was traveling at the time). I didn't find any of the interviews particularly difficult; they were mostly pretty relaxed and conversational. Everyone seemed very nice, friendly, passionate about what they do, and enjoyed working there. It's definitely a company where technical skills are necessary, but so are soft skills; unlike tech companies where they are mostly screening for technical ability and soft skills are just an extra plus, they seem interested in your ability to think more broadly and collaborate with others. While the number of interviews means it is a pretty slow process, it also means you will meet a large number of people you are working with. As a result, it's easy to get a gauge on the company culture from multiple perspectives. Overall, I had a positive experience interviewing.
